1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions, the following definitions apply:

  • "Service" refers to the educational courses and programs provided by Threshold Finance
  • "User," "You," or "Participant" refers to individuals enrolled in or using our services
  • "We," "Us," or "Our" refers to Threshold Finance
  • "Content" refers to course materials, educational resources, and information provided
  • "Agreement" refers to these Terms and Conditions and any enrollment documentation

2. Acceptance of Terms

By enrolling in our courses or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services.

You must be at least 18 years of age to enroll in our courses. By accepting these terms, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

3. Service Description

Threshold Finance provides financial education courses designed for adult learners in Singapore. Our services include:

  • Structured educational courses on personal finance, investment, and financial planning
  • Access to course materials and educational resources
  • Educator guidance and support during course duration
  • Small group learning environments

Course availability, schedules, and content may be subject to change. We will notify enrolled participants of any significant modifications to courses they are attending.

4. Course Enrollment

4.1 Registration

To enroll in courses, you must provide accurate and complete information during registration. You are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of your account information.

4.2 Course Capacity

Courses have limited capacity. Enrollment is confirmed upon payment receipt and availability confirmation. We reserve the right to cancel courses that do not meet minimum enrollment requirements.

4.3 Prerequisites

Some courses may have recommended prerequisites or assumed knowledge levels. You are responsible for ensuring you meet these recommendations before enrolling.

5. Payment Terms

5.1 Pricing

Course fees are stated in Singapore Dollars (SGD) and include all course materials. Prices are subject to change, but enrolled participants are charged the rate at time of enrollment.

5.2 Payment Methods

We accept payment via bank transfer, credit card, and other methods as specified. Full payment is required to confirm enrollment unless alternative arrangements have been agreed upon.

5.3 Refund Policy

Cancellations made more than 14 days before course start date receive full refunds. Cancellations made 7-14 days before start receive 50% refunds. Cancellations made less than 7 days before start are non-refundable. Refund processing takes 14-21 business days. If we cancel a course, full refunds are provided.

6. User Responsibilities

6.1 Attendance and Participation

You are expected to attend scheduled sessions and participate constructively in learning activities. While we understand occasional absences may occur, regular attendance supports effective learning.

6.2 Conduct

You agree to:

  • Treat educators and fellow participants with respect
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding other participants' personal information and financial discussions
  • Use course materials only for personal educational purposes
  • Not disrupt learning environment or interfere with others' participation
  • Provide honest feedback to support program improvement

6.3 Prohibited Activities

You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit course materials without written permission. Recording sessions without consent, sharing login credentials, or using services for any unlawful purpose is prohibited.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Our Content

All course materials, educational content, and resources are owned by Threshold Finance or our licensors and protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.

7.2 License to Use

Upon enrollment, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use course materials for personal educational purposes during and after course duration. This license does not permit redistribution or commercial use.

7.3 Participant Contributions

Any questions, comments, or contributions you make during courses remain your property. By participating, you grant us permission to use anonymized examples or insights for educational purposes in future courses.

8. Disclaimers

8.1 Educational Nature

Our services provide education and information. We do not provide personalized financial advice or recommendations specific to your individual circumstances. Course content should not be considered as investment, tax, or legal advice.

8.2 No Guarantees

We do not guarantee specific outcomes, results, or financial improvements from participating in our courses. Individual results depend on many factors including personal circumstances, effort, and application of learning.

8.3 Service Availability

While we strive to provide uninterrupted services, we do not warrant that courses will always be available or error-free. Technical issues, natural events, or other circumstances beyond our control may occasionally affect service delivery.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Singapore law, Threshold Finance and its educators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services.

Our total liability for any claims related to our services shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific course giving rise to the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Threshold Finance, its educators, and representatives from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your violation of these terms or misuse of our services.

11. Termination

11.1 By You

You may withdraw from a course at any time, subject to our refund policy. Upon withdrawal, your access to course materials may be terminated.

11.2 By Us

We reserve the right to terminate your enrollment if you violate these terms, engage in disruptive behavior, or for other legitimate reasons. In such cases, refunds will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

11.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, provisions regarding intellectual property, confidentiality, and dispute resolution continue to apply.

12. Dispute Resolution

12.1 Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Singapore courts.

12.2 Informal Resolution

Before pursuing formal dispute resolution, we encourage you to contact us to resolve issues informally. Many concerns can be addressed through direct communication.

12.3 Mediation

If informal resolution is unsuccessful, both parties agree to attempt mediation before pursuing litigation.

13. General Provisions

13.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms and Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy and any enrollment documentation, constitute the entire agreement between you and Threshold Finance regarding use of our services.

13.2 Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.

13.3 Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

13.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these terms without our written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations under these terms without restriction.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions periodically. Changes become effective upon posting to our website. We will notify enrolled participants of significant changes that affect their current enrollment.

Continued use of our services after changes constitute acceptance of modified terms.
