Creating Welcoming Pathways to Financial Knowledge
Our mission is to open doors that may have seemed closed, inviting learners into comfortable exploration of financial topics.
Return HomeAbout Threshold Finance
Threshold Finance was founded in 2019 by educators who recognized that financial knowledge often felt locked behind intimidating doors. Many Singaporeans wanted to understand personal finance, investment, and planning but found existing education unwelcoming or rushed. We created an organization that would hold those doors open, inviting comfortable entry into financial understanding.
Our name reflects our core belief that learning happens at thresholds - those transitional spaces where we move from not knowing to knowing, from uncertain to confident. We design educational experiences that honor these threshold moments, creating environments where questions are welcome and comprehension develops at a natural pace.
Since opening our doors, we have welcomed over 2,800 learners into our programs. These participants come from diverse backgrounds but share common goals: understanding their finances clearly, making informed decisions, and building confidence in their financial futures. We meet them where they are and guide them through doorways suited to their pace.
Our location in Singapore's central business district at Robinson Road provides convenient access while maintaining a learning environment distinct from typical financial offices. The space is designed to feel like stepping into a comfortable room rather than entering a corporate setting. Natural light, thoughtful furnishing, and welcoming design support the learning atmosphere we aim to create.
The Singapore financial landscape presents particular opportunities and considerations for learners. Our curriculum addresses local specifics - CPF planning, Singapore taxation, local investment vehicles, and regional financial considerations. We believe effective education must connect with learners' actual circumstances rather than presenting generic concepts.
Looking ahead, Threshold Finance remains committed to expanding access to financial education while maintaining the welcoming approach that defines our work. We continue developing courses that invite comfortable exploration and support learners in building genuine understanding they can apply throughout their lives.

Our Values in Financial Education
Threshold Finance approaches financial education through principles that prioritize learner experience and genuine understanding over commercial objectives. We recognize that financial decisions affect people's lives deeply, and education in this area deserves careful, respectful treatment.
Accessibility guides our work. Financial knowledge should not require advanced prerequisites or feel exclusive to certain backgrounds. We design courses that welcome diverse starting points, using clear language and patient explanation to build understanding progressively. The goal is opening doors for anyone seeking financial clarity.
Transparency characterizes our interactions with learners. Course descriptions accurately represent content and expected outcomes. Pricing remains straightforward without hidden charges. Educators acknowledge the limits of their expertise and refer participants elsewhere when topics fall outside their knowledge areas.
Respect for individual circumstances shapes our teaching approach. We avoid prescriptive advice that assumes universal solutions. Instead, educators help participants understand principles and considerations relevant to their situations, supporting informed decision-making rather than directing specific choices.
Singapore's multicultural context informs how we communicate financial concepts. Materials and discussions acknowledge diverse cultural attitudes toward money, saving, family financial responsibilities, and wealth building. This awareness helps create learning environments where all participants feel their perspectives recognized.
Ongoing development keeps our educational practice current with both financial topics and teaching methods. Educators regularly review course effectiveness, incorporate participant feedback, and update content to reflect changing financial landscapes while maintaining our core commitment to accessible, thoughtful learning experiences.
